Nonmelanoma cancer

Stage 0: squamous cell carcinoma in situ, or Bowen’s disease, is the initial stage of squamous cell carcinoma. This cancer affects only the epidermis.

Stage I: Cancer is no more than two centimeters and no lymph nodes or other organs.

Stage II: Cancer is more than two centimeters but has not spread to lymph nodes or other organs.

Stage III: Cancer has spread to adjacent deep tissues such as bone, muscle or cartilage, and / or regional lymph nodes. There is involvement of distant organs.
